The next SYO weekend will take place on Saturday 7th – Sunday 8th February 2026.
Swan Youth Orchestra was launched in February 2024 to give school-age musicians across the region an opportunity to take their orchestral playing to the next level. Swan Youth Orchestra (SYO) is for students aged 11-18 at Grade VI level or above, with ensemble experience.
Students are tutored and play side-by-side with professional Swan musicians and Music Hub tutors, developing students ensemble, performance and communication skills. A weekend course consists of sectionals, workshops and full rehearsals, concluding with a public concert at Warwick Hall on the Sunday evening. SYO takes place twice a year, with a course in October and in February.
SYO is delivered in partnership with Warwick Schools Foundation, Warwickshire Music Hub, Coventry Music Hub and Solihull Music Hub.
