Arts Award
We are proud to be an Arts Award supporter organisation.
What is Arts Award supporter?
Arts Award supporter shows your organisation offers activities which young people can take part in when doing their Arts Award, such as shows, exhibitions, workshops, meet the artist sessions, work experience etc. See examples in supporter spotlights.
What is the difference between an Arts Award supporter and an Arts Award centre?
A centre takes individuals or groups through their Arts Award programme and is responsible for ensuring each student completes all aspects of the award, submitting their portfolios to Trinity College London and paying for moderation. A supporter provides one or more activities which can contribute towards any part of any level of Arts Award. These could be events, backstage tours, work experience placements or talks in schools and they can be provided whether or not you are using Coventry Music as your Arts Award centre.
Visit Arts Award supporter for more information and opportunities or the Arts Award website for more details about Arts Awards.
See all of our current events for details of gigs and concerts to attend as part of your Arts Award, or our groups and choirs page to find something to take part in.
The Arts Award can contribute to your school's Artsmark; see our Artsmark page for further details, or contact Cathy Scott-Burt (Music Engagement Officer) for further details.
Arts Award Centre
Coventry Music is now an Arts Award Centre.
Arts Award is a range of unique qualifications that supports anyone aged up to 25 to grow as artists and arts leaders, inspiring them to connect with and take part in the wider arts world through taking challenges in an art form - from fashion to digital art, pottery to poetry.
Through progressing through the five levels, young people get to:
- discover the enjoyment of creating and participating in arts activities
- experience arts events
- develop creative and communication skills that are essential for success in 21st century life
- explore the work of artists and craftspeople and gain insights into the professional arts world
- gain experience and knowledge to help progress into further education and employment

There are no entry requirements, no time limit for completing the award, and no set rules on how to present final work.
