Heart of England Lead schools support and CPD

Lead Schools and CPD Support

The Heart of England Hub has appointed several Lead Schools for Music. These can provide music curriculum consultancy, advice and CPD support opportunities for all schools and academies across Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull.

In the academic year 2025 – 2026, the Lead Schools are offering a comprehensive Menu of Curriculum Consultancy, Advice & CPD Support including:

  • Curriculum Auditing & Development
  • School Music Development Planning
  • CPD for Primary, Secondary, SEND & AP Settings
  • Technology Integration & Enrichment Planning
  • Bespoke Support for Non-Specialist Teachers

Whether you're looking to build knowledge, staff confidence, improve assessment strategies, or design a progressive curriculum, our Lead Schools provide support tailored to your setting’s needs.

When a request for support is received, you will be connected with the Lead School best placed to meet your needs.

CPD and Training

We can provide and deliver staff training and CPD to schools.

We can offer:

training sessions organised by Coventry Music in a central Location which will include:

  • Access to up to 4 staff per school per session to attend 3 x 2-hour programmes
  • School Music Development Plan writing support & assessment,
  • Further bespoke training to fit the needs raised by schools.

Bespoke CPD in your school

  • Training delivered in your school to your whole team.
  • This can focus on specific aspects of music teaching through to fun experience workshops and team building activities.
  • All resources will be provided or the equipment in school can be used to design easily replicable teaching activities.
