Coventry Music Service has played a significant role in supporting Barr’s Hill School through the delivery of high‑quality peripatetic music lessons. Their specialist teachers provide 1:1 and small‑group tuition across a wide range of instruments, including strings, woodwind and drums, and they expertly prepare students for graded examinations. 
Several tutors have also worked closely with our GCSE and A‑Level cohorts, offering targeted guidance on the performance elements of their courses. This partnership has enabled many students to achieve instrumental grades — with some gaining valuable UCAS points — and has created enriching opportunities beyond the classroom, such as meeting Ed Sheeran and securing funding that helped us develop our school recording studio. This ongoing support continues to make a meaningful difference to the musical experiences and aspirations of our students.

"Coventry Music have made a huge difference to the way that music is taught in school. The children in Key Stage 2 eagerly look forward to their weekly brass lessons and make good progress over the two years that they are taught.
