Exciting Opportunity - “American Rap on Broadway Tour” 

Coventry Music is delighted to launch our first ever trip to New York in partnership with Venatour travel.  

This once in a lifetime trip will include a Broadway performance and workshop, ‘History of the Bronx rap tour’ - the holy grail of hip-hop music scene globally, and where it all began and an incredible opportunity to attend a major ‘NFL American Football or NBA Basketball game’ 

The plan is to travel in the lead up to October half term 2027 and return during the half term break. This exciting programme will give people the opportunity to access a show on Broadway, tour the city, experience a musical theatre workshop with Broadway performers and experience the excitement of an America sporting event and the musical performances, theatre and experience that make these events a truly spectacular experience. The cost of this trip is £2,500 per person and bursary places will be available.

At this stage we are gauging interest in seeing if a viable number of students would like to go on the trip. Should this be the case a £350 deposit is required by the end of February 2026, with a payment plan to follow up until August 2027.

Return coach travel will be from a central Coventry location. A minimum of 40 students is required for the trip to be viable. Places are open for those in Year 9 and above in Autumn 2027 (2025/26 year 7’s – year 11’s).  

Coventry Music will also run fundraising events with the tour members to help with the overall costs in the lead up to the trip.  

The proposed agenda is below, and the accommodation will be in a 3-star hotel. Breakfast and 1 hot meal will be provided each day on the tour.
