We are currently looking for:
Music Engagement Officer - Alternative Provision
Coventry Music are looking to recruit a dynamic, enthusiastic and passionate music educator to grow opportunities for children and young people across the city in our rapidly expanding Alternative Provision programmes. This depending on musical interests and skills of the successful candidates include delivery in our Coventry Alternative Provision Programme, where students attend during the school day, at the AP Academy (Previously Pupil Referral Unit), in our partnership programmes with organisations such as St Giles Trust or with individual students to meet needs outside of mainstream education.
We are looking for someone with high quality instrumental skills who can deliver in a variety of settings whilst also supporting Coventry Music to expand and implement the key strategies of the Heart of England Music Hub, focusing on inclusion and access for all children and young people in the city. For a full time member of the team there will be an expectation to deliver music provision for 20 hours per week You would also be leading groups that rehearse out of school hours and working with the regional groups from the whole hub area. Around 1 working day a week term time is allocated to develop programmes and opportunities outside of teaching time.

This will be through a variety of teaching and supporting our tutor team across the city. We are looking for someone with high quality instrumental skills who can deliver in a variety of settings whilst also supporting Coventry Music to expand and implement the key strategies of the Heart of England Music Hub, focusing on inclusion and access for all children and young people in the city. For a full time member of the team there will be an expectation to deliver music provision for 20 hours per week in Coventry Schools and at music centres – with a focus on building tuition and developing new pathways for aspiring musicians. You would also be leading groups that rehearse out of school hours and working with the regional groups from the whole hub area. Around 1 working day a week term time is allocated to develop programmes and opportunities outside of teaching time.
