We are looking to recruit a dynamic, enthusiastic and passionate music educator to grow our string playing opportunities for children and young people across the city. This will be through a variety of teaching and supporting our tutor team across the city. We are looking for someone with high quality instrumental skills who can deliver in a variety of settings whilst also supporting Coventry Music to expand and implement the key strategies of the Heart of England Music Hub, focusing on inclusion and access for all children and young people in the city.
Are you:
- Experienced in music education, with string playing and teaching as a specialism and knowledgeable of a music education hub
- Have the ability to generate relationships with schools and stakeholders to expand the delivery of music education across the city and inspire the next generation of string players
- Deliver and lead sessions in their musical area of expertise – string playing
- Confident to teach to whole class groups in instrumental and curriculum lessons and/or deliver SEND specific work.
- Deliver and co-ordinate projects and events both inside and outside of the school day and are flexible to work evenings and weekends across the whole year.
