The Youth orchestra currently has vacancies for a number of instruments, This is a great opportunity for advanced players to play together in professional musicians
The Swan Youth Orchestra is a Music Hub Partnership that has established a fully formed youth orchestra for advanced-level students across Coventry, Warwickshire, and Solihull.
Under the direction of professionals from the Orchestra of the Swan and Coventry, Warwickshire, and Solihull Music Service, the orchestra has tackled a wide range of challenging repertoire, from Holst’s The Planets to Elgar’s wonderful Cello Concerto. This year, the orchestra is once again directed by internationally acclaimed conductor Rebecca Miller.
The orchestra runs on a course basis over weekends in November 2026 and March 2027. We are keen to ensure that as many students as possible can take part each year.
As Year 13 students have now left, the orchestra currently has vacancies for the following instruments:
• All Strings
• Clarinet
• Oboe
• Bassoon
• Trumpet
• Horns
• Trombone
• Tuba
• Percussion
